A couple of weeks ago, young gun Timmy Laidlaw asked if I was keen to shoot something at Hotham with him, so I assembled a mean posse and off we rolled. Along for the ride were blog frequenter Stu Macqueen and photography arch enemy Liam Kaska (we only hang out to sabotage each others' sessions). Already on the hill were a gang of Third Chapter heavies, including founder, the big Will Kendall, under the radar stunt extraordinaire Chris Eacott and kiwi transplant Ian Wallace. Look out Hotham, impromptu industry circus is in effect.

No, that's not Christian Siriani , that's Timmy Laidlaw, teaching Stu some shit.

We had a good few days, hot spring weather and soft, fun snow in a deserted resort. After a bit of fun lapping Road Runner for two days straight, Stu and Timmy did a solid bit of labour to set up a feature they were keen to hit. I was pretty skeptical of whether it was on, but they showed me that I don't know shit and I should just shut up and make the pictures. They were definitely the first 2 to ever hit this feature, so hopefully you'll be seeing those in some pages next year. Nice work boys. Thanks for hitting it first Timmy. Kid's got some cojones!

There are only so many magazine pages available each year, so a lot of worthy shots never see the light of day. Whilst this is frustrating for the photographers, it really sucks for the riders who have put themselves on the line to get their shot. But that's how it goes, so here are a collection of shots from summer/winter 09 that never made print, but are worth having a look at. I've managed to shoot a few shots at home this winter, but you'll have to wait 'til next year to peep those.
